Application steps: Select "Application for Water Supply Account" on the platform, fill out the online form, and upload relevant identity and address proof documents (such as tenancy agreement/purchase agreement).
Water deposit: After successful application, the first water bill will include a water deposit (typically HK$400 for residential users).
Most residential developments in Discovery Bay use centralized piped LPG rather than the towngas used in urban areas, generally provided by SINOPEC or ExxonMobil.
Offline Service Points (Latest Community Feedback):
Based on the latest feedback from residents, gas/LPG has an offline physical service point/counter at Discovery Bay North Plaza. If you'd like to inquire in person, submit an account opening application, or handle related matters, you can visit the offline point at North Plaza directly.
Online and telephone inquiries: Since different phases and developments may have different LPG suppliers, it's recommended to check the notice board in your building lobby or directly contact your building management office (City Management) to obtain the service hotline for your building's specific supplier.
Real estate agent assistance: If you're renting, real estate agents often assist with water, electricity, and gas account transfers during property handover. It's recommended to confirm with your agent whether they've already submitted the applications.
Resident registration: After moving in, remember to bring your tenancy agreement or purchase agreement to the Resident Services Center (DBSML) at either South Plaza or North Plaza to register your resident information. This helps with obtaining a Resident Octopus Card (great discounts on ferries!) and managing management fees.
